By law, the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) Dietary Guidelines for Americans are reviewed and updated every 5 years to keep our health moving forward.

The new 95 page long Dietary Guidelines for America1 is an excellent step forward in outlining the current state of nutrition in America and setting new goals for healthy nutrition.

Still in some cases, I don’t believe the guidelines went far enough. In other areas, they may be confusing for some people.
