Amazing Scientific Breakthroughs In Organ Generation and Regeneration

Already in 2002, two announcements herald amazing changes in medicine by the time our children are adults. Researchers at Tokyo University announced on January 5, 2002 that they had successfully grown an artificial eyeball and implanted it into a tadpole, where the functioning eye connected itself to the optic nerve.

The January 3, 2002 issue of the New England Journal of Medicine featured evidence from cross-sex heart transplants that human heart tissue can regenerate – flying in the face of dogma held for many years (that I learned in medical school).

These and other breakthroughs will magnify the benefits of today’s simple, healthy choices to exercise bodies and minds, and to select nutritious foods as fuel for life.
