Ingredients:

  1. ½ pound extra-lean ground round
    ½ pound lean ground turkey breast
    2 stalks celery, finely chopped
    2 medium carrots, finely chopped
    1 medium red onion, chopped
    1 28-ounce diced or crushed tomatoes
    1 6-ounce cans tomato paste
    1-teaspoon sea salt
    2 tablespoons honey
    ¼ to ½ teaspoon freshly ground pepper
    ½ teaspoon basil
    1-teaspoon oregano
    2 tablespoons fresh parsley, minced

Directions:

    1. Combine ground beef, ground turkey, carrots, garlic, and onion in a 3-½ quart slow cooker. Stir well.
    2. Then add tomatoes, tomato paste, salt, honey, pepper, oregano, basil, and parsley to pot and stir.
    3. Cover and cook on low for 7 to 8 hours, or until meat and vegetables are tender.
