  1. 2 cups Forbidden Rice
    3 1/2 cups Cold Water
    1/2 cup diced yellow peppers
    1/3 cup Tamari
    1/3 cup Toasted Sesame Oil
    1 pound roasted diced sweet potato (optional)
    1/2 cup diced red peppers
    1/2 bunch sliced scallions
    Salt and Pepper to taste.


    1. Rinse rice in cold water. Add rice and water to a 3 quart pot with tight fitting lid. Bring rice to a boil, cover and lower heat to a simmer for 30 minutes or until water is absorbed.
    2. Remove heat and allow rice to sit for 3-5 minutes. The rice should look dry.
    3. Whisk together Sesame Oil and Tamari.
    4. While rice is still warm toss in the sesame oil and tamari mixture.
    5. Let cool, then add roasted sweet potatoes, red peppers, yellow peppers and scallions.
    6. Add salt, pepper to taste.
