Our DrGreene.com community members let us know when they’ve found a special resource. Enjoy the recommendations that we’ve received from parents like you.

Do you have a favorite resource that’s not on our list? Let us know!.

American Academy of Allergy, Immunology, and Asthma (AAAAI) - The AAAAI should be high on your list of allergy and asthma-related resources. They provide local and national pollen counts, up-to- date allergy news, seasonal allergy and asthma survival guides, and can even help you locate an allergist in your area. You can also call their information line at 1 (800) 822-2762.

American Lung Association - The ALA's asthma page provides links to asthma facts, tips for controlling asthma at home, recent asthma statistics, and offers membership in the asthma digest listserv.

Asthma & Allergy Foundation of America - This site provides lots of allergy and asthma information and resources. You'll find information about support groups, nationwide asthma testing, fundraising events, and tips for managing allergies and asthma. There's also a bulletin board so that you can discuss your concerns and insights with other parents. You can also reach at 1 (202) 466-7643.

Eating without Casein - This site includes ingredient lists, shopping, cooking and restaurant tips, on-line and print resources, sample menus and other useful information aimed at the individual who must remove milk proteins from his or her diet. Beth has done a lot of work which will benefit many people who are trying to avoid milk proteins in their diet!
Emmarose

The Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network - This is a very informative site! It offers FAQs, specific allergy information, and even has a page dedicated to current food allergy studies. Some of my favorite features are the recipes and the allergy alerts. And they respond very quickly to e-mailed questions. They also offer a very comprehensive newsletter.
Allergymom

Food Allergy Survivors Together - This site has a recipe section with tried and true recipes, a bulletin board, a mailing list, and sections for both teens and kids. And the online support group is wonderful! It provides you with the support you need, especially when the health professionals are at a loss.
Allergymom

Food Can Make You Ill - This practical site contains helpful information for people who are food intolerant or who are trying to determine if they are intolerant of certain foods. Learn about food chemicals, how to use a food diary and lots more.

The Gluten Free Kitchen - This site addresses many aspects of Celiac Disease and contains lots of recipes. It is easy to navigate and includes a list of support groups and a number of other resources.
Allergymom

Kidsaware - Kidsaware has a wonderful concept for keeping children with nut allergies safe--clothing items which alert people to the fact that the child cannot have nuts. A friend of mine with a toddler who is severely nut-allergic worries about leaving him in the nursery at church, etc. because he is not old enough to say "no nuts, please". Wearing this, the shirt could do the talking for him!
Allergykidsmom

Road's End Organics - This site offers non-dairy products for people searching for tasty food which doesn't include dariy.
