Asthma Star Power!

What do Glenn Close, Minnie Driver, Funkmaster Flex, Whoopi Goldberg, Jeff Goldblum, Cuba Gooding, Jr., Kelsey Grammer, Shaquille O’Neal, Gwyneth Paltrow, Diane Sawyer, and General Schwarzkopf all have in common? This cast of stars provides the voices for Quest For The Code, an exciting new computer game by Steven Spielberg’s Starbright Foundation "dedicated to the development of projects that empower seriously ill children to combat the medical and emotional challenges they face on a daily basis." While they are busy having fun, kids with asthma (and their parents) learn about key asthma issues, including early warning signs and true asthma symptoms, identifying and avoiding asthma triggers, myths about asthma, how asthma affects the lungs, proper use of asthma medication devices, long-term control medicine and quick-relief medicine, measuring and monitoring peak flow, and how to answer questions from peers about asthma. The game is available free from the Starbright Foundation in both English and Spanish. Asthma knowledge is a powerful way to treat this disease.
