Watching Television Causes Asthma?!

We know that kids who have asthma are more likely to be overweight. But is it that kids with asthma exercise less, and so become overweight - or is it that obesity can trigger asthma? An article in Pediatric News reports that overweight 9 to 14 year-olds are twice as likely as their peers to develop asthma over the next year! Obesity triggers asthma. Kids who watch more TV exercise less, eat poorer, and weigh more. We now have another great reason to encourage our kids to eat healthy, delicious foods and to keep active - especially if there is asthma, eczema, or hay fever already in the family.
