The Senate is reviewing the Safe Chemicals Act of 2010, and TIME Magazine checked in with our own Dr. Alan Greene for his view on the use of toxic chemicals in common household products. “It’s time to stop using kids as the canaries in the coal mine,” he told them. “I couldn’t be more excited that this law is being introduced.”
(I had to laugh at this… in another article at ConsumerAffairs.com, Dr. Greene is quoted as saying, “The old law is as out-of-date as a polyester leisure suit.”)
The TIME article highlights Safer Chemicals, Healthy Families, a coalition of 40 organizations that speak out for chemical safety. One of the organizations is one of our partners, Seventh Generation, which has organized the Million Baby Crawl as a way for kids and their families to march on Washington to let our government know we care about the toxins in our homes. Watch Dr. Greene’s video on the Million Baby Crawl.
