When I came across this purple image by woodnorth images I knew I just had to ask for permission to include it here with our Purple Day images.

Woodnorth images gave us permission, and sent along this message to pass on.
"The thistle. Most people see the sharp thorns along the stem, the jagged & pointed leaves. Many gardeners immediately put on their sturdy gardening gloves and pull the thistle out, seeing it as different, undesirable, “a weed.”
Those thorns and jagged edges are only part of the plant though. Look past the obvious and see the thistle in bloom, delicate purple flora reaching sunward. Imagine a bunch of them, waving in the warm breeze. Not so different from a bunch of flowers, once you change your perception just a bit, once you learn what to focus on.
Let’s begin to change our perception bit by bit; let’s begin to learn about epilepsy."
