Can you guess how much money the food industry spends marketing to kids? It’s a shocking amount, but here’s the thing — it’s not enough to just turn off the television. Now kids are marketed to on every platform, including sponsored ads on some school’s workbooks.
If that’s not bad enough some companies like Coca-Cola and Pepsi are straight-up conning school communities to buy their products as ways to “fund education”.
