Video of Introducing Solids

Debra Waldoks is a Registered Dietitian and Certified Lactation Counselor with a Master's Degree in Public Health. She’s an adjunct professor, nutrition consultant, occasional blogger, and most importantly, a mother of two and a wife.

Now that you have read my previous posts, you are familiar with the benefits of introducing solids with whole-foods. Many first time parents are terrified of choking and err on the side of caution for many months, only giving their child thoroughly pulverized mush of this and mush of that. I hope this video will encourage you to learn more about your child and his/her capabilities. Please use your own judgment when feeding your child.

Great Video! I learned a lot (and I'm even an RD... LOL) I may consider slowing it down a bit as I had to keep pausing it to read the text and absorb all the pics.

This was extremely informative! I love how many new and interesting foods your kids eat. Amazing that your son has been eating persimmons from such a young age, and I just had my first one last night! I especially loved to see how at age 22 months your son was able to help you prepare pancakes. I can't wait for my son to be able to help in the kitchen! Loved all the posts - thanks! Ali
