Hi. It’s Aja again. I’m lucky because both my grandmothers are still alive and I get to see both of them and spend time with them. They are both lots of fun to be with and they are both so different. My Nana says it would be boring if we were all the same. Everyone is a little different.
At school I was noticing that some kids are really popular and some aren’t. Some kids are always in the middle of all the attention and action and some just watch. Some kids do things just so they can be in with the cool group. I tried that myself a few times but it just wasn’t me. I was talking with my brother Tom who just graduated from high school. He says that school is just like that, and I think he is right. I think that people would rather be considered “cool” as opposed to being themselves. One of my “Pony Gals” ( horse-riding friends) and I came up with the idea for a stall decoration of ice-cream flavors with a tagline that says “ Pony Gals Have All The Flavors.” It is so true because we have different personalities and we are each different.
I guess what I am trying to say is, I think it’s best to just be who you are. I believe that you should do what you love to do. It’s OK to have friends and be in a group but it should be you who decides what you love to do, not others. That’s part of a recipe for being happy.
What do you think? See you tomorrow.
