Zojirushi 5-1/2-Cup Neuro Fuzzy Rice Cooker

I love my Zojirushi Rice Cooker. I didn't think I needed any rice cooker. Seriously, I can cook rice. It wasn't until our dear friend, Tom Ferguson, raved about his Zojirushi that I considered owning one. Now I consider it one of the best tools in my kitchen. Why?

  • You can put rice on to cook hours before you're ready to eat. It cooks the rice perfectly then stays warm until we need it. This is especially handy when you can't "finish cooking" dinner until a few minutes before it's time to eat.

  • Cooking whole grains is no longer an issue since you can start the cooker before leaving the house in the morning if you don't have an hour to cook right before dinner.

  • The Zojirushi cooks different kinds of rice to perfection. We mostly use it for brown rice, but we also cook polenta, couscous, and oatmeal.

  • It's very easy to use.

What makes it so expensive? It has Fuzzy Logic, i.e. there is a computer chip inside that adjusts to the amount of rice and moisture and keeps the rice at the perfect temperature for up to 20 hours after cooking.

I know this is a splurge item, but put it on your wish list. You'll be glad you did.
