Yummy Earth and Sweet Earth Chocolates

Oh Candy! Can we really ask our kids to live without them? Well yes I suppose we can, we are already eating organically, reducing sugar, cutting out artificial additives all for the benefit of our health. However I have more than once sat in a Cafe with other moms and everyone drinking coffee and eating cream cake whilst feeding their toddlers organic purees and raisins. Dr Greene's advice to train the kids to eat healthily from weaning is perfect and it works, my kids love fruit and vegetables.

However no matter what the kids eat now they will eventually want to try Candy (just as a treat mind!), because no matter what we do they will be influenced by media, what their peers do and eat. So what do we do, we try and find them quality candy which whilst being made of the baddy sugar (Beet sugar being preferable to Maize) has no artificial chemicals added and are made from organic ingredients. Does safer candy exist, well yes it does and its high quality and tastes great too.

My kids are both intolerant to Dairy and Soy so I have to look for candy that does not have those in the ingredients but also satisfies my healthy candy ideals!!!! . These are two products that I have recently purchased for my kids and we will be trying over Easter so check back for an update on taste!

Sweet Earth Chocolates
Chocolate is where it gets hard or at least for us. There is a good selection of organic fair trade chocolate readily available across the country. However look for products designed for kids, dairy free, Soy free then its hard to find. I was on a hunt for something that would resemble an easter egg for my boys and came across Sweet Earth Chocolates. Hmmm just look at the website http://www.sweetearthchocolates.com/ . Certified organic, fairtrade, free from chemicals and flavourings. They make milk and dark chocolate. oh but my o my they have dairy free soy free, vegan too. Check this out, my kids are going to love these easter baskets filled with easter eggs

The customer service at this company gives the personal touch, they can tailor each basket to your requirements. Ensuring for us for example that it was only soy free dairy free chocolates that were in the baskets and other items were replaced with additional eggs. They even have coconut and caramel eggs.
