This is a classic. We keep coming back to it, year after year, party after party.
One player is the judge in each round. That judge pulls out a card with a descriptive word -- like awkward. Then each player selects the card from his or her hand that best matches the judge's card -- like "my first kiss", or "high school reunions", or "gold chains". Only the judge can determine which word is the best fit, so it helps to play into his or her likes, but winning isn't really what this game is about. The real goal is to get everyone laughing at the crazy comparisons some players make and why the judge picks the card that is the best match.
I recommend this game for teens and older. Younger kids can get the concept and game play, but a few of the cards are a little mature. I haven't played all the cards, but I wouldn't be surprised to find Monica Lewinsky in the noun deck.
