The Jury Is In on Insect Repellents!

We're back from Yosemite (it was amazing, BTW). In preparation for the trip Dr. Greene and I went to the store and bought several different repellents to see which one worked the best. I won't tell you about all of them, but Dr. Greene's favorite won the prize (no surprise). The most mosquito prone among our group of 10 opted for Repel Lemon Eucalyptus and she didn't get one bite! Our second runner up, used a different choice and he was sorry. He only had a handful of bites, but he felt pretty sad about those few (very itchy) bites.

Repel Lemon Eucalyptus is plant based, lasts for up to 6 hours, stays on pretty well during swimming (though it doesn't hurt to reapply), and smells great. It's a little oily, but not bad at all. It comes in a convenient spray bottle. The general take from our group was we'd leave the other brands at home next time and all use Repel.

You can find Repel Lemon Eucalyptus at www.amazon.com.
