Real Food Daily is one of my favorite restaurants in Southern California. It’s a vegetarian restaurant, and after eating there we had to buy the cookbook.
This cookbook is perfect for the vegetarian who is tired of tofu and cheese. Author Ann Gentry specializes in whole ingredients and fresh produce and lots of grains and uncommon proteins.
I love the unusual ingredients she uses, like quinoa and barley and seitan, to make original concoctions such as Athena Barley with Kalamata Olives and Tomatoes. I like the way she uses seasoned nuts as well to make dishes like her Lentil Walnut Pate.
