Organic Dining in 2009

Organic Dining in 2009

I love Sideboard Cafe in my hometown of Danville, CA. It’s my favorite restuarant find of 2008 anywhere in the country, let alone the Bay Area. Great food, great people. Tasty fare that’s fresh, local, seasonal, and organic.

Founders and chef Ford and Erin set the tone for a staff that feels like an extended family, even though I just discovered them all in 2008. Eating at Sideboard feels like enjoying fantastic food at home with friends, without the hassle. Check out their review at . It mentions excellent preparation of standard cafe fare — but try the Brussels sprouts. You won’t be disaapointed, even if you never met a Brussels sprout you liked. My kids love them. My son reports that their Prather Ranch (grass fed) burger is the best in town. He commented as I’m typing that he rarely orders burgers anywhere else anymore, because none compare.

I think I’ll make Sideboard Cafe my first restaurant meal of 2009. Happy New Year!
