I would be an oak. A very old one standing in a pasture. I would have a few low branches good for sitting and higher ones good for climbing. The deer would rest in my shade and birds would nest among the leaves. Even the squirrels would be welcome to the acorns.

I would be the tree in the book The Giving Tree. The giving tree gives everything it has to keep its' boy happy, as I will forever do for my children. The tree represents love and touches on several other emotions as the boy and the tree grow together. Being the giving tree would make it possible for me to live on forever, teach children about love, and motivate people to read, I can't think of a better tree to be!

If I was a tree, I would be a giant redwood in Muir Woods.

I would be gorgeous and majestic. Very old and tall. I would also be protected by law so I couldn't be cut down for lumber.

I would be helping the earth's eco-system stay in balance and I would be giving back for decades (centuries?) to come.

If I were a giant redwood, and if you were ever in California, you should definitely come to Muir Woods to admire me :)
