I think it's certainly

I think it's certainly reasonable. I overhead a mother the other day teaching her son, who was happily picking up fruits from around the world, about choosing local and the cost to the environment. I clearly overheard her and wondered "why is she avoiding eye contact with me" I mean I wanted her to know I agreed with her and was so proud to the environmnetal teachings happening in daily conversation. That's when I became aware of the organic bananas in my cart. Yes, shipped from far, far away, and while organic was nice, there was a price to pay. Even though they are my absolute favorite for green smoothies, I returned them and chose local fruit instead (strawberries). It's tough though, where do you draw the line of being aware for the sake of others or offending them? I say, keep up the good work and do what you can with that is available. Plant seeds daily, you'll never know what takes hold. :)
