Had many ear infections when younger . but now that i am older started again . ten years ago I was hospitalized with a bad ear infection stayed a week and they tried several drugs till the right one cured it . sinse then ear infection accured every year ,drs said due to sinus drainage. so tubes were put in and often I would get a year infection and go on drugs. The last three months i have had a recuring infection in right ear with drainage. I asked the dr to please test this time mabe the wrong medicine .he went ahead and put me on 135 dollar med two days ago and called me this morning to say I have mersa . it came back from the ear swab test . and they are changing meds again and giving me a special soap and body soap like surgurey patients get . and something to swab my nose with . So i guess that is the mersa you get through the nose . I sur ehope it gets rid of it . I don't have any sores but ear has been draining for a week now. so I wonder how bad it is and can I cook for my family thanksgiving dinner . should I tell them not to come with my grandchildren? can somebody give me an answer .
