I also was glued to the TV on 9-21-11 waiting to hear what Dr. Oz and his holistic guests had to recommend for migraine headaches. I had heard of Butterbur in the past, but I did do some research and it seemed like this choice has it's drawbacks just like everything else. Once again I am greatly disappointed in the Dr. Oz. show. I feel he "touches" on subjects too breifly and then moves on when a lot more needs to be said. I think he and his show is being very irresponsible. I can't believe just how irresponsible they are! After doing my research, there is NO WAY that I would attempt the use of Butterbur. As a matter of fact, I refuse to even watch his show anymore. Holistic paths of treatment are great, but they never mention that these options CAN have their side effects also. Shame on Dr. Oz. And, I still seek help for my migraines. I've had them for 30 years and while in perimenopause they have become more frequent and long lasting. They depress me.
