Organic Dining in 2009

I love Sideboard Cafe in my hometown of Danville, CA. It's my favorite restuarant find of 2008 anywhere in the country, let alone the Bay Area. Great food, great people. Tasty fare that's fresh, local, seasonal, and organic.

Founders and chef Ford and Erin set the tone for a staff that feels like an extended family, even though I just discovered them all in 2008. Eating at Sideboard feels like enjoying fantastic food at home with friends, without the hassle. Check out their review at NBCBayArea.com . It mentions excellent preparation of standard cafe fare -- but try the Brussels sprouts. You won't be disaapointed, even if you never met a Brussels sprout you liked. My kids love them. My son reports that their Prather Ranch (grass fed) burger is the best in town. He commented as I'm typing that he rarely orders burgers anywhere else anymore, because none compare.

I think I'll make Sideboard Cafe my first restaurant meal of 2009. Happy New Year!

Dr. Greene, I couldn't agree

Dr. Greene, I couldn't agree more. My wife and I along with my whole family love sideboard. It is so refreshing to talk to an owner and have them know which farm every item on the plate is from. We love them so much that we had them caterer my mom's birthday and they were the hit of the party. Hopefully we run into each other there one of these days.

I am starting to eat

I am starting to eat healthier, organic foods for the sake of long jevity for my 22 month old daughter. Is there any foods we could both enjoy, without them being to low in fat for her?
