Stacie is a Brooklyn, NY mama of two and founder of family food blog, One Hungry Mama. As a parenting-and-food writer, she combines her background in developmental psychology with her passion for food to help make the world a better—and more delicious!—place for families. (Creative use of an M.A. degree, don’t you think?!)
After graduate school, Stacie developed educational television for little ones at places like Sesame Workshop. She also pursued her love of food by taking culinary classes, seeking out far-afield foodie finds, and cooking elaborate meals for friends and family. Then she had her first son and quickly learned: kids change the way we cook, but they don’t have to change how well we eat.
Parents can whip up quick but delicious meals . . . shop on a budget and still manage to buy all-natural ingredients . . . and cater to different ages without making separate meals! Most important, we can cook to please ourselves and know that it’s good for our kids, too. Stacie shares her philosophy, recipes and cooking tips for healthy family eating on One Hungry Mama.
Stacie received a BA from Vassar College and MA in Developmental Psychology from Teacher’s College, Columbia University. More importantly, she can be reached at Stacie [at] onehungrymama [dot] com and followed on Twitter: @OneHungryMama.
