Kathy Kastner's passion is identifying gaps in health education and filling them. Her ‘Aha!’ was in a pre-natal class, where she didn’t understand the jargon. Using research and production experience as an on-camera producer/reporter, Kathy created videos for expectant parents, with a focus on plain language and filling gaps.

These videos evolved into The Health Television System Inc. with The Parent Channel© and Healthtv® broadcasting in hospitals across North America.

In 2008, Kathy launched Ability4Life.com: for adult children caring for aging parents. Her social media strategy led to a hospice and palliative medicine twitter chat where Kathy realized how little she knew about medical interventions at life's end. Her journey, and the resources curated along the way, is called BestEndings.com (for those who want to talk about the end of life, and those who don’t).
