strange sweet smell around head

My daughter (aged 2 years, 10 months) has an unusual, sweet smell around her head area. At first we noticed the smell in her bedroom only but now it seems to be on her more than in the bedroom. It is strongest around her head, but does not seem specific to anywhere. I have not noticed this with our older children ever and am not sure what it could be or how to get rid of it. It is there even when she has just got out of the bath!

Have her blood sugar checked

Have her blood sugar checked by her pediatrician.A sweet smell is common in diabetes. At the very least, it would be good to rule it out.
