pregnancy

Hello. I want to know how much vegetables a day i need to eat at least and other food to let the baby grow inside of me strong ,smart and healthy without any problems. I am pregnant now 3 month. I drink milk, eat eggs everyday,i know its all calcium ,but i am afraid that i eat not enough vegetables and fruits, coz i sometimes eat one tomato per day or not eat somedays any vegetables at all. I am not a vegetables lover so its difficult for me to eat it everyday but i want to try to improve myself . or maybe you suggest to add in my daily meal any supplements better? Can i eat pickles and how much? I eat a lot of sweet food,bakery,chocolate-everyday sweet. Can it harm the baby? please give me the best answers. thank you.

These are all fantastic

These are all fantastic questions. You sound like you really care about giving your baby the best possible start in life. Nutrition during pregnancy is an important part of that. In fact it's so important that Dr. Greene wrote a whole book on the topic. It's called Feeding Baby Green and you can get it on Amazon.com or at your local bookstore. He's also written a lot about it here on DrGreene.com.

For a quick overview of nutrition during pregnancy, you can start with the Eating for Two: A Mother's Guide to Mother's Nutrition during Pregnancy series.

There is no better time than now to eat as healthy as you possibly can!
