I babysit a little girl during the day who is 16 months old. She has always been an odd baby, but recently a friend of mine suggested that her odd behavior might be the symptoms of a real problem. Here is what I mean by odd: She has fits where she holds her breath until she passes out (usually when she is mad about something or hurt). She bangs her head on walls or tables, sometimes just for fun, sometimes when she is in her crib and awake. She does not chew food, and even sucks on baby food refusing to swallow it. She will lay on the floor just staring sometimes at the light. She also has poopy diapers that are not solid but very full and mushy. Sometimes she pulls at her ears as well. When she crawled she mostly army crawled, and only got up on all fours in the last month or two before she started walking which was when she was 15 months old. Could these be signs of a bigger problem or just odd behavior?
