My daughter's pediatrician "accidentally" tore her fused vagina during her 15 month physical. We were given a topical cream to avoid infection, which I find difficult to apply since my daughter is now horrified every time we change her diaper. Is this the proper way to treat this? How long will it take to heal? What medical risks should I be concerned about? Could she be psychologically impacted by what occurred? Can the doctor be sued for doing this, or is this common?
