best option for babies used to hyperactive letdown

My twins are currently 7 weeks old and although they attempt to take a bottle, it takes them way too long to get anything (almost an hour for 3 ounces). I think this is probably due to the fact that they are used to my hyperactive letdown and therefore don't really have to work for milk at the breast. I am going back to work part-time in less than a month and they will need to be able to take bottles, so I am wondering if using a fast flow nipple would be appropriate considering this is what they are used to eventhough they are still very young.

Hello Leah, You've

Hello Leah,

You've certainly got your hands full with the marvelous adventure of twins. If it is taking them that long to drink breastmilk from a bottle you might want to experiment with other nipples that have a faster flow. Slow-flow is great for getting started and for minimizing nipple confusion, but sounds like it may be time to move up. Just going up a size from the one they are using now may work well in the same brand they are used to.

It might be nice to see a lactation consultant for pumping tips before gong back to work, if you think that would help with the big change.
