Anterior Fontanelle

My daughter is 12 weeks old and her anterior fontanelle is quite small. I've been to specialist and she told exactly the same as midwife and the GP that all they can do is wait. Should I be very concern? What is a result of small anterior fontanelle?

A small anterior fontanel is

A small anterior fontanel is an otherwise healthy baby is generally no problem at all -- and the same goes for large anterior fontanels. They do sometimes go along with other medical conditions, but those conditions are generally obvious enough that parents would generally already be aware of them. Usually a small fontanel is just normal. Occasionally, the bones of the skull fuse to each other too young, a condition called craniosynostosis.
