Apple juice and a lot of it! My son,now age 9, suffers, to this day, with being constipated fequently. Apple juice works miracles! Sometimes to much greens will do the oposite of what youre wantin so you have to be careful with that.
After 9 years of Dr.s and adult strenght laxatives(when he was 2yrs old) apple juice has worked the best.
We are going through this with our 18 mth old son right now. Its very alarming, he has prune juice daily and is now on Miralx too. We focus on fruits and whole grains, have cut out bananas and white processed products and he is still having problems, he isn't an eater, which is also a huge problem in itself. We have a Dr's appointment scheduled and hope that we can get this resolved very soon as its agonizing for both him and us.
We have also used suppositories, but want to get his body working so that this is not necessary.
Any other suggestions or feedback would be terrific
Firs of all, look closely at her diet. Give her lots of fiber, whole grains, brown rice and pasta instead of white, plenty of water, green veggies and fresh fruit. There are fiber supplements that can help if she won't eat that stuff, but stay away from laxatives if you can help it. Suppositories can relieve her if she's uncomfortable. Miralax is an electrolyte solution that works very well. I have dealt with chronic constipation all my life and only recently got treatment for it. Thank you for paying attention to your daughter's digestive health, it is so important! I am the product of parents who did not and I have permanent physical damage to my body because of it.
Many children go through a phase of wanting to sleep in their parent’s bed. If you don't choose to have a "family bed", click here for tips to get them back into their own beds.

My daughter went through this
My daughter went through this up until Age 3. We started giving her Mirolax everyday and it worked wonders!
