Chicka Chicka Boom Boom,
by John Archambault

Recommended by: Holly Aiken of Albany, NY

-- A simple, bright, colorful book about the alphabet and a coconut tree. It has a great rhyming rhythm. I'd go with the original text - the board book is too short. My 14 month old loves this book and has learned a lot of her alphabet already from this fun to read book.

Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs,
by Judi Barrett

Recommended by: Genie Bunch, California
--Another favorite in our house. Ms. Barrett really puts our imaginations to work when she describes this unique town of Chewandswollow. My boys have developed their own story lines as a result of this book and have giggled all the way.
