Khanh-Van Le-Bucklin is a practicing pediatrician in California. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of California at Berkeley, where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa. Like Dr. Greene, Khanh-Van obtained her medical degree at the University of California in San Francisco. She completed her internship and residency training in pediatrics through the Lucille Salter Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford University.

Since 1990, Dr. Le-Bucklin has been involved in many health education projects. To foster information delivery, she has created bulletin boards in college dormitories on prominent health issues. She has coordinated UC Berkeley and UCSF courses focused on health-care issues of the homeless. In addition, she has helped train students to work as case managers and clinicians at the UC Berkeley and UCSF free clinics.

Currently, Dr. Le-Bucklin works at the University of California, Irvine as a faculty member in the Department of Pediatrics. She acquired the role of Pediatric Residency Program Director shortly after joining the faculty at UC Irvine. In this role, she oversees the education of future pediatricians. She enjoys teaching medical students and residents about the art and science of medicine.

Dr. Le-Bucklin joined the DrGreene.com staff in 1999 as a way to reach out to families and promote health awareness. "I feel that the best way to care for patients is to educate them on how to better care for themselves" she says. "I enjoy getting to know families and teaching parents about their children's health and development." She sees the Internet as another tool to accomplish her goals. "Because the Internet reaches such a large population, now I can do that for many more patients" says Khanh-Van.

Dr. Le-Bucklin brings her knowledge of pediatrics with interests in medical education and hospital medicine to DrGreene.com community members. In her free time, she enjoys painting, playing tennis, and writing poetry.
