Hi! My username is HDC, but please feel free to call me Heather. I'm sitting here thinking of how I can put myself into one short bio and finding it very difficult, so I'll start with the stats. I'm married to Paul and have been since 1996. I have 3 kids: Charlet (born in '98), Mike (born in 2000) and Kaede (born in 2003).

Things are never dull at my house. From playing 'me do!' with Kaede, listening to Mike's stories, or doing puzzles with Charlet, there is always something to distract me from dishes and laundry.

In 2003 I got an itch, an itch that wouldn't go away. It was calling me to go back to school and get a nursing degree. I spent the spring of 2004 filling out FAFSA forms, tracking down transcripts, and writing letters to the admissions board. I was nervous and scared but confident that this is what I needed to be doing. In the fall of 2005 I quietly began on my school career. It's had its ups and downs, but has made a large difference in how I feel about myself, my family, and my future. If all goes according to plan, I will graduate in May of 2008 with my BSN.

Something I uncovered while going to school was my love for EMS. I have been running with the county ambulance service and loving every moment. I am in love with patient care. In my short time as an EMT, I have learned lessons from my patients that I will never forget and that I'd never find in any textbook.

In my spare time (Yes, I do have a few moments here and there!) I work on my photography. I am hoping in the near future to get some studio lights and reflectors so that I can improve even more.
